Title Social Media Specialist

MarketScale is looking to hire a talented and versatile social media specialist to help grow our original content. This person will have diverse digital skillset and possess knowledge of several social platforms including Instagram, Twitter, LinkedIn, Facebook, and Instagram. The social media specialist will also work with the account management team to ensure client-sponsored content is optimized. Creativity is paramount in this role as this person will need to be able to convey messages to the internet community in a way that makes an impression.

Responsibilities include:

  1. Create, execute and monitor multi-platform social and content strategies for the agency’s clients, leading to increased customer acquisition and engagement, channel growth, traffic and ultimately revenue across key social platforms;
  2. Coordinate the on-time delivery of client social media campaigns, meeting all pre-determined deadlines;
  3. Collaborate with account executives to establish social media strategy, define KPI’s, and create content calendars that reflect marketing goals;
  4. Meet regularly with clients to ensure alignment with their priority social marketing initiatives;
  5. Provide insights and recommendations for social media strategies utilizing both paid and organic campaigns, bringing your knowledge of the newest trends and technologies;
  6. Analyze ongoing social media initiatives, measuring their effectiveness and reporting on results with clear insights;
  7. Educate our internal team and share creative ideas on how our clients could leverage the latest social platforms, tools, and technologies;
  8. Manage a team of content specialists;
  9. Drive social traffic, engagement, leads, that deliver sales and customer retention;
  10. Design custom social art dedicated to different social platforms;
  11. Assist blog editors in copy edits & SEO optimization;

  13. Organically, reaching out & expanding our community;
  14. Strategizing, improving & analyzing data from social campaigns


  1. Bachelor’s degree in communications, marketing or related fields;
  2. 1-3 years of experience developing and activating social media campaigns;
  3. Familiar with a wide range of social media platforms, PR and marketing strategies, and social listening/analytic tools;
  4. Excellent communicator with proven ability to clearly interpret data and use analytics tools to create effective social strategies;
  5. An ability to identify quality content — proficiency in Photoshop a plus;
  6. Quick-witted copywriter, able to work under tight deadlines while remaining detail-oriented;
  7. Ability to demonstrate how social media strategy can support business and marketing objectives;
  8. Keen understanding of what is trending – you’ve seen every meme, have heard every joke, and spent time on Instagram and Twitter discovering what is being talked about;
  9. Ability to multi-task, set priorities and meet tight timelines with high client expectations
