Job Description

Job Summary: The Front-End Developer supports the development of our KIOSK solutions in North America. The successful candidate will have a solid technical background, project management capabilities, with the ability to become well versed with proprietary software/hardware platform. A strong understanding of web front-end development is essential.

Essential Responsibilities:

  • Expand existing software and develop new user-facing features to meet the changing needs of kiosk customers in America, by developing and implementing software consistent with current development processes and techniques
  • Analyze and investigate software engineering projects prior to development phase
  • Participate in design, code, and test reviews, and write corresponding specifications
  • Build and document reusable code and libraries for future use
  • Perform debugging and unit testing during the development phase, and work with the QA team during the release phase
  • Follow and contribute to improvements of the software development process

Required Skills

  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, software engineering, information technology or equivalent discipline
  • Proficient in JavaScript, TypeScript, HTML5/CSS3
  • Adept understanding of code versioning tools, such as Git
  • Good understanding of Angular framework, asynchronous request handling, partial page updates, and AJAX
  • General IT skills: networking configuration, remote control software, etc.
  • Understanding of software development cycles, and the ability to generate the required documentation
  • Proven ability to perform software functional analysis and integration testing
  • Ability to manage priorities and workflow
  • Versatility, flexibility, and a willingness to work within constantly changing priorities with enthusiasm
  • Ability to work on complex projects with general direction and minimal guidance
