Job Description

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Oversee all aspects of human resources such as payroll, benefits, compensation, talent acquisition, interviewing, staff training and development, compliance with state and federal laws (including those related to government contracts), workers compensation, policy development, terminations, and employee relations to ensure quality program and service delivery
  • Manage, direct, motivate and supervise the work of HR professionals and administrative support
  • Ensure the integrity of the HRIS data-base, and the security of employee’s personnel files and other personnel information
  • Supervise the preparation and disbursement of the company’s payroll activities (weekly and bi-weekly)
  • Develop, analyze and administer company benefit programs
  • Develop, analyze, and modify compensation plans and benefits policies to establish competitive programs and ensure compliance with legal requirements.
  • Develop and evaluate talent management strategies and planning processes to support company strategy
  • Develop goals and objectives for the Human Resources Department
  • Forecast staffing needs and oversee recruiting, hiring, onboarding and separations of employment
  • Consult with supervisors and management on sensitive employee relations issues, complaints, and disciplinary actions; responds to harassment and discrimination charges and writes and maintains documentation
  • Provide credible consultation and direction to management on overall HR planning, strategy, and best practices
  • Provide comprehensive, accurate and timely service to managers, supervisors and employees
  • Develop and maintain effective relationships with management and employees
  • Ensure the organization’s strategic needs and values are in line with HR policies and guidelines
  • Actively partner with management on special projects and assignments

Minimum Requirements:

  • 5+ years’ Human Resource experience; at least 3 years leading an HR team.
  • Experience in a manufacturing environment a plus.
  • Experience supporting 300-500 employees as a multi-state employer
  • Experience working for an organization who is a government contractor
  • 4 year degree
  • PHR/SPHR certification a plus
  • Strong leadership and coaching abilities
  • Experience working with management and staff at different levels within an organization
  • Excellent interpersonal and communications skills
  • Proficiency with MS office tools (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.)
  • Bi-lingual (English/Spanish) a plus
