Job Description

JOB PURPOSE:

The Architect and Design Sales Representative is responsible for growing sales through specification by key architect and design firms, general contractors, and commercial real estate brokerages in assigned territory.

Representatives are responsible for introducing and continued education of Clarus product offerings to new and existing customers while leveraging knowledge and relationships to increase sales and revenue of products and services.

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Educating, marketing and selling the value of Clarus products
  • Maintain appropriate sales activity levels at all times achieving and exceeding revenue sales goals
  • Develop business plan with management for weekly, monthly and quarterly strategic sales objectives
  • Set appointments and facilitate presentations for prospective clients
  • Manage sales and project pipeline, including open quotes, booked orders and all aspects of the order to cash process through Netsuite CRM
  • Serve as a liaison between customer service and the customer on shipment and warranty matters
  • Facilitate factory tours for key decision-makers
  • Establish relationships and educate Architect & Design Firms on Clarus including new product launches and offerings
  • Gain strong understanding of all Clarus products and website tools.
Qualifications
  • 3+ years business sales experience, preferably in A&D or related field
  • Successful track record of planning and execution  
  • Knowledge and/or experience in office furniture or related industry, a plus
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Skillful negotiation and presentation abilities
  • Aggressive follow-up and closing skills
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent sales experience preferred
  • Ability to occasionally travel overnight  
  • Must have adequate and dependable transportation to travel to and from the customer site 
  • Must have valid driver’s license and automobile insurance and be able to drive throughout the workday; must be able to transport company product in personal vehicle
