The economic contribution of Arizona agribusiness (agriculture) to the Grand Canyon State’s economy has pole vaulted to a record $23.3 billion, according to a University of Arizona (U of A) report. The impressive growth spurt represents a 26 percent increase from the $17.1 billion value reported by the U of A in 2011; and a 60-percent plus increase from the university’s $8.8 billion value tabulated in 2000.
