Chick-fil-A is famous for being closed on Sundays, a policy and tradition they’ve respected for years. The chicken chain broke tradition recently to cook up and hand out thousands of meals to the passengers stranded at Atlanta’s Hartsfield-Jackson International Airport. As the world’s busiest airport, a power outage stranded thousands of hungry passengers in the airport. Atlanta Mayor, Kasim Reed, called on the historically religious company to help out. They answered the call, mobilizing to make and hand out sandwiches. It has been a very difficult day for thousands of travelers. And while Chick-fil-A is always closed on Sunday, our restaurants open occasionally to serve communities in need.
