Itison Upgrades Its Headquarters with the Latest AV Equipment

If you believe that internet companies should be on the cutting edge in everything they do including the design of office workspace, then Scotland-based Itison is your kind of company.

Itison, a daily deals and events website, recently refurbished its headquarters at a cost of £1.5m, and the changes are seen the minute you enter the reception area.

AV Magazine reports that “visitors are met by an 86-in 86BH5C UltraStretch LG display with 4K resolution for full HD picture quality, the first of its kind to be installed in Scotland. The display is split-screen capable and can run up to four simultaneous images in wide 58:9 format.”

There are also 70 24MP59G-P LG monitors on desks, a 14-zone integrated sound system and  an internal communications platform consisting of over 20 LG commercial displays. In addition, video conferencing facilities, multiple collaboration spaces ranging from a 10 ft stained glass cube to “boardrooms fitted with 47in LV35A LG displays connected through HDMI over CAT6” are installed. Moreover, a 38UC99-W 21:9 LG UltraWide curved LED monitor sits on CEO Oli Norman’s desk.

Finally, “throughout the office 47in LV35A LG commercial displays are connected to a bespoke CRM system utilizing aggregated data directly from the company’s sales platform, social media channels, telephone system, and email and web live chat. Data is then presented in a visually compelling way on the large format displays.”

Norman says he undertook this innovation in order to make employee workspace as pleasant and user-friendly as possible since they spend much of their day at work. He recognizes that “if more people put as much effort into their office environment as their lounge, making it a relaxed and calm place to be, they are more likely to be working at their optimum.”

Happy employees do tend to be more productive, so Itison’s investment in innovating their HQ is likely to pay off in the end.
