POLYGON HEADS TO WASHINGTON, D.C. FOR THE 2018 ARCHIVES RECORDS EXPO

The Annual Archives Records Expo is the place to be this month for professionals engaged in preservation work. It’s an excellent opportunity to learn the latest in best practices from the archives profession’s industry partners and thought leaders. Those just entering the field as well as leaders with decades of insights and experience to share come together to network with colleagues and take back to their organization’s new ideas for improving their preservation work.

Coming up on August 12-18 at the Marriott Wardman Park in Washington, D.C., the Archives Records 2018 Expo is a joint event run by the Society of American Archivists, the Council of State Archivists, and the National Association of Government Archives and Records Administrators. Polygon Group could not be more pleased to exhibit at this premier annual event for archivists!

Event Highlights

This annual event will feature several useful workshops and expert speakers. Topics include managing architecture, design and construction records, how to archive scientific materials, and communications and media training for archivists. Attendees will also have the opportunity to learn more about teaching with primary sources, revising best practices on accessibility, building support for digital archives, and designing appropriate policies for the use and capture of government records.

Look for Polygon at the Expo!

Polygon is an exhibitor at this joint conference and looks forward to connecting with other professionals in the archiving world. Polygon uses a state-of-the-art desiccant air dry distribution system that thoroughly dries hard copy documents and multimedia damaged by water, fire, and mold. Our energy saving technology allows us to dry, clean and/or reproduce materials much more efficiently than other drying systems. Find us at booth 403.

The vacuum freeze-drying process is the most efficient and effective method for the drying of wet papers and other documents. Using this method, Polygon technicians can restore water-damaged materials quickly and effectively, reducing back processing time by 20 to 30 percent. Learn more about Polygon’s document restoration services ahead of the expo by visiting

We hope to see you throughout the expo. Be sure to stop by booth 403 to say hello!
