David’s experience includes legal entity simplification reviews, tax minimization studies, tax refund and credit studies, due diligence reviews including, state tax implications of mergers, acquisitions and divestitures, large multi-state compliance outsourcing, ASC 740 analysis and state tax controversy. His state and local tax experience includes state income and franchise taxes, sales and use taxes, property taxes, and specialized state and local tax services. David is experienced in a wide array of industries, including power and utilities, oilfield services, upstream oil and gas, engineering and construction, chemical manufacturing, health care and technology.

Jason Avila, CPA

Jason Avila, CPA, has more than 14 years of public accounting experience and four years of private industry experience. He has extensive experience working with private and public middle market companies on federal and state compliance, IRS exam representation, tax planning, tax provisions and transaction work. Jason brings a great balance of technical knowledge, practicality and personal service to his clients. He focuses on various industries including manufacturing and distribution, technology, retail and restaurants. Jason is a member of several organizations, including the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants, Texas Society of Certified Public Accountants and CalCPA. He graduated with a Master of Science in taxation and a Bachelor of Business Administration in accounting from California State University of Fullerton.
