Watch: Developers Adjusting to Millennial Home-Buying Preferences

Surprisingly to many, millennials make up the largest block of home buyers in the U.S., accounting for 42% of all sales over the last 12 months. That number is up from 31% just five years ago. So home builders are responding. Real estate professionals have noticed Millennials are more interested in open layouts that allow for more customization, rather than in-home amenities like wine cellars or home theaters. And of course with Millennials being tech savvy, neighborhoods with gigabit services, which allow for fast internet streaming, have been most popular.
