On his final day on the presidential detail, the host of SecurED, Mike Matranga, was gifted a presidential coin as a token of gratitude.

As a member of the presidential detail, Matranga served Barack Obama during his 2007-2008 campaign and transferred to his protective detail. On Obama’s final day in the White House, Matranga was presented a presidential coin and wished well for his next step in his career. After spending years in each other’s company, they took photos as a gesture of their companionship.
