The world is currently facing a probable epidemic related to the coronavirus. According to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), coronavirus (COVID-19) spreads just as other viruses do from person-to-person, mostly through respiratory droplets that occur when an infected individual sneezes or coughs.

The world is on hyper-alert for ways to mitigate its spread, and one proven way to destroy viruses is via ultraviolet (UV) light, which may be a good option for a variety of scenarios.

A certain spectrum of UV light—UVC—has been proven to kill airborne viruses, and it does so in a manner that presents no risk to humans.
