Orion Instruments Manager of Engineering, Projects and Documentation Rick Lawrence sent in a photo of the company’s booth, which it is sharing with parent company Magnetrol.

UPDATE: 12:25 p.m.

At the Oceaneering booth, (#2060) the Freedom remotely operated vehicle (ROV) is attracting a large crowd. The Freedom is helping oil and gas companies monitor pipelines and rigs below sea level while also taking workers away from hazardous situations.

Day three at OTC is underway at NRG Park in Houston, Texas! There is still plenty to explore, and we have received this update from Neil Slater, Head of Events and Sponsorship for DNV GL.

At booth 4253, DNV GL is giving tutorials on its virtual reality platform. The technology is used to train oil and gas professionals on the challenges, duties, risks and security measures they need to know about before heading offshore.
