AV over IP Video Distribution Solution from Contemporary Research

Scalable IPTV Video Distribution Delivers High-Quality Video over Ethernet

Audio-Visual over Internet Protocol or AV over IP refers to the transmission of audio-visual data over a network such as a LAN, WAN, or the internet. It uses standard network equipment to transmit and switch video and audio. The concept has existed for quite some time now, and most venues are transitioning their older AV infrastructures with IP-based infrastructures. Many broadcast studios, restaurants, bars, houses of worship, schools, universities, corporations, medical offices and more are utilizing an IP network to distribute video content to multiple televisions throughout their facility.

If your business is interested in delivering video over a data network, Contemporary Research offers an AV over IP solution that delivers high quality video over ethernet.

A Cost-Effective Solution

This solution from CR provides great image quality and is both easy to install and scalable. QIP IPTV Encoders feature dual-channel encoders that create MPEG2 or H.264 IPTV streams from two separate video sources. They accept video resolutions from 480i to 1080p and common PC graphics resolutions and support closed captioning. The QIP IPTV Encoders accept audio from embedded SDI or HDMI, SPDIF, or analog stereo and can encode AC3, MPEG1 Layer 2, or AAC.

The QIP-D IPTV Decoder/Controller is an integration friendly IPTV decoder with incorporated display control. It is compatible with unicast or multicast UDP and RTP IPTV streams and will accept MPEG2 or H.264 single program or multiple program transport streams. A channel list of programs is uploaded from a PC running CR Toolbox software, so channel selection, volume, and power may be controlled from the front panel controls, handheld IR remote, or external control system.

The Best of AV and IP in One Easy-to-Use System

Contemporary Research delivers a cost-effective end-to-end IPTV video distribution and control solution that is made for integration. The QIP-D IPTV Decoder/Controller and series of QIP IPTV Encoders provide the reliability of traditional AV video distribution with a cost effective, scalable system that allows integrators the ability to add control. Contemporary Research also offers a simplified package, Venue Vizion IPTV, that is rack ready, preset, and operational out of the box. It distributes 8 IP streams with control for 20 displays, but can be scaled to accommodate larger projects.

Venue Vizion’s IPTV control web page, Display Express Lite, is easily accessible via smartphone, tablet, or PC, allowing users to quickly control individual or groups of displays.
