The Rapid Adoption of Software Tools in AV
This episode of Pro AV Today, hosted by Ben Thomas, features Tim Bigoness from D-Tools. The two dive head first into the increasingly pervasive influence of software-based tools in the Pro AV industry.
The AV landscape is undergoing a significant shift towards more software-based tools and solutions, largely driven by evolving consumer expectations. The ubiquity of devices like smartphones and tablets has made consumers much more comfortable with using software, to the point where it is now an expected part of most user experiences. This shift has been accompanied by a trend towards more user-friendly tools, with Canva cited as an example of a professional tool with a much lower learning curve than its predecessor, Photoshop.
The pace of change within the AV industry is also increasing. What might once have been a two or three-year cycle for change and adaptation could now be as short as a matter of months. This rapid evolution means that anyone working in the AV industry – or any B2B industry for that matter – must be comfortable with utilizing digital tools to be successful.
Watch above as Tim and Ben break down opportunities, best practices, and observations about some of the ways that our industry can more effectively leverage software based tools.
