The Chicago Tribune reported Google is preparing to open a retail store. The tech giant is expected to sign a deal to take over a 14,000-foot retail space in Chicago.

This would put Google in better competition with Apple, Microsoft and Amazon. A retail store would better help the company show off its products. The list of Google’s gadgets keeps growing The only retail presence Google has had in the past is small shops in bigger retailers such as Best Buy.
