Stenograph Announces the 2022 Recipient of the Milton H. Wright Scholarship

Stenograph, LLC, the leader in technology development for court reporting and captioning professionals, announced the recipient of a scholarship that honors Stenograph’s founder, Milton H. Wright. Stenograph, LLC, in partnership with the National Court Reporters Foundation, awarded this merit-based scholarship to Carmen James. Ms. James is a student at the College of Court Reporting, Inc. in Valparaiso, Indiana.

“I am so honored to receive this scholarship,” Carmen James said. “Stenographers provide such invaluable services to our communities and that is one of the reasons why becoming a court reporter is one of my highest personal goals. Receiving this scholarship will make it possible for me to continue on in my court reporting education and eventually make that goal a reality. I am incredibly grateful for this opportunity and will use it as motivation to continue working hard to graduate and join the ranks of the court reporting profession.”

“Stenograph is very happy to support such a well-deserving student as Ms. James through the granting of the Milton H. Wright Memorial Scholarship,” said Stenograph’s Vice President of Marketing, Dan Denofsky. “Ms. James has demonstrated not only a commitment to the quality and skill of a first-class court reporter, but through her essay, she is showing innovation and ingenuity to the concept of recruiting more stenographers to join the court reporting industry. It is suggestions and creativity from those like Ms. James that give us such confidence in the health of the court reporting industry. We at Stenograph are happy to help Ms. James pursue a successful and fulfilling career as a certified court reporter.”

“It has been an honor for us at the National Court Reporters Foundation to partner with Stenograph to offer Stenograph’s Milton H. Wright Memorial Scholarship,” said Early Langley, NCRF Chair. “We are confident that this generous scholarship, coupled with its generous benefits, creates a giant career step forward for its student winner. We congratulate Carmen James as the NCRF-Stenograph scholarship’s newest recipient.”

Stenograph’s Milton H. Wright Memorial Scholarship, worth up to $5,000, includes the use of a student writer and software.
