Cargomatic Webinar With Special Guest, John Wolfe, CEO of the Northwest Seaport Alliance

John Wolfe, CEO of the Northwest Seaport Alliance, joined Weston Labar of Cargomatic to discuss the challenges and opportunities in the supply chain. The focus was on cargo volumes, global market conditions and the Seaport Alliance’s key accomplishments and initiatives.

The Seaport Alliance is a partnership between the ports of Seattle and Tacoma, which was formed in 2015 to eliminate local competition and focus on global competitiveness. It is unique in that it operates to a small degree while also acting as a landlord port. Wolfe discussed how blank sailings and delays caused by Canadian ports have negatively impacted container volumes at the gateway in 2022, but he remains optimistic about future volume growth due to economic signs pointing to a softer landing for the economy.
