Stenograph® Announces Partnership With Project Steno, Offering Free CATalyst® Student Software to Stenography Students
DOWNERS GROVE, Ill., December 14, 2022 (Newswire.com) – Stenograph, LLC, is pleased to announce a partnership with Project Steno that provides Stenograph’s industry-leading CATalyst Student software to qualifying stenography students at no charge. Starting in January 2023, Stenograph will provide CATalyst Student to court reporting students who complete Project Steno’s Basic Training Program and are enrolled in a stenographic reporting program. Project Steno promotes stenography through community outreach, with the goal of building a robust pipeline of students into schools and more stenographic reporters into the industry. Their free online Basic Training program provides a hands-on opportunity for potential students to learn about court reporting and captioning before making a financial commitment to school.
“Stenograph has been supportive of Project Steno for years, with prior financial and writer donations in support of our Basic Training program,” noted Project Steno President Jim DeCrescenzo. “We are grateful for their past contributions and for the collaborative spirit they have shown. This new commitment is in direct support of students, and we thank Stenograph for continuing to make a difference for these future reporters.”
“The mission of Project Steno is essential to the court reporting industry as it faces growing demand at a time of labor shortages,” says Dan Denofsky, Vice President of Marketing for Stenograph. “Project Steno has helped attract, educate, retain, and graduate a growing number of students from court reporting schools. Stenograph is proud to partner with them as they help to cultivate a long-term sustainable industry. Students are the lifeblood of the future of Stenograph and the stenographic industry as a whole. We want them to be empowered with the best tools in the industry to be successful as they pursue a lucrative and exciting career in stenographic court reporting and captioning.”
Stenograph recognizes that there should be an educated, certified reporter in every deposition or courtroom, remote or in-person. To meet the market demand, we feel a responsibility to help support and grow the number of students graduating from school and entering the field. Through this partnership with Project Steno, and providing free access to CATalyst Student software, we remove a financial hurdle for stenography students while starting them out with the most advanced CAT software in the industry.
