As of August 2024, Applied Digital’s Ellendale AI Data Center in North Dakota is progressing well, as the latest video update highlights. The three-level facility spans 363,000 square feet and is engineered to support a 100MW IT load. The main level is dedicated to central utilities that provide robust infrastructure support, while the second and third floors house data halls, each designed to handle a 50MW IT load for high-performance AI computing. The latest updates also show the ongoing substation development, which is essential for meeting the center’s energy demands and integrating sustainable technologies like advanced liquid cooling and wind energy.
