How Do Portable Cooling Solutions Handle the Heat?

Sunny South Florida is known for many things – nightlife, beaches, great food, and more – but it’s also known for some at-times-overwhelming heat and humidity.

It comes with the territory, but that doesn’t always mean residents and visitors alike don’t want to keep cool.

That’s why, for this episode of Keep Kuul, a Portacool podcast, host Daniel Litwin was joined by Miami Portable Cooling Owner Eric Seder. Seder is an ex-Wall Street professional turned real-estate broker turned cooling specialist, and he lent his insights to an exploration of the challenges of renting and selling portable cooling solutions in a climate like Miami’s.

One of the biggest challenges is the variety of locations a city like Miami offers. They all need cooling – but they all come with different challenges.

From expansive beachfronts and pavilions to small, intimate restaurant patios, the heat doesn’t discriminate.

In large spaces, one of the less-obvious challenges in setting up large cooling solutions in a way that not only cools the space, but doesn’t get in the way, aesthetically.

“Wherever cooling is needed, we get the call,” Seder said. “[In large spaces], we’ve been very successful in creating ‘cooling zones.’”
