Sumpless Pump System: Reduce Floor Space Requirements

Sumps, which are pits or underground tanks used to collect water, have long been the traditional method of collecting wastewater, but they’re far from effective. Not only are they financially inefficient, sumps leave businesses vulnerable to worker safety risks, such as wet floors — not to mention the pungently unpleasant odor of wastewater, as well as requiring excess floor space.

Failing Sumps Lead to Wastewater Spills

Sumps should work to remove water that has accumulated in a water-collecting basin, but when they fail, the water must go somewhere—unfortunately, it’s typically funneled into our water sources. According to a U.S. News & World Report article, in 2017, an equipment failure at a Seattle plant dumped over 30 million gallons of sewage into Puget Sound. How Sumpless Collection Works
