Louisville Muhammad Ali International Airport Enhances Operations and Communications with $18.5 Million Upgrade Featuring AtlasIED Technology

The Louisville Muhammad Ali International Airport in Kentucky underwent a multi-year, $400 million renovation, which included a new $18.5 million Airport Operations Center. The center, designed to manage all airport operations, incorporated an array of AtlasIED products for superior communication and security systems. The AtlasIED GLOBALCOM™ Enterprise Communications system sits at the heart of the operations center, connecting various devices and managing all audio and visual communications across the airport. Other AtlasIED technology includes the ACS controller, an announcement controller for compliance requirements, and the IED528 and IED550 mic stations installed at ticket counters, gate podiums, and various other locations. With this new system, the airport can effectively manage operations, improving the travel experience for its passengers. The proximity of the AtlasIED GLOBALCOM engineering and support team has also allowed a fruitful collaboration, ensuring swift support and personalized training for the airport staff.
