Historically speaking, art is not usually considered part of the scientific community. It should be. Art is an ordered expression of perception and emotion. While those are difficult values to quantify, the collaboration between science and art is creating a new viewpoint that can greatly benefit both fields of endeavor. On today’s podcast, our host had the chance to chat with Jie Qi, the co-founder and creative director of Chibitronics.

They discussed the innovative approach needed to combine art, engineering, and science, the exponential increase in effectiveness that adding “Art” into the STEM ecosystem (result: STEAM), and how the visual aspect of “paper electronics” can greatly improve the ability of educators to assimilate (and communicate) the concepts involved.
