ARPA-E Innovation Summit Celebrates 10 Years but Looks to the Future

For the tenth time, energy leaders are meeting for the ARPA-E Energy Innovation Summit. The Department of Energy’s Advanced Research Projects Agency-Energy (ARPA E) hosts the annual event and brings together professionals from the government, business world and academia to discuss the latest products pushing energy development further.

This year’s conference runs from July 8-10 in Denver, Colorado.

This year’s keynote address was given by Vice Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff, Gen. Paul J. Selva. Other keynote speakers include Chairman, President and CEO of Xcel Energy Ben Fowke as well as Siemens USA CEO Barbara Humpton.

On the agenda this year is the National Renewable Energy Laboratory (NREL) Innovation Workshop. The program takes place on the final day of the conference, Wed. July 10 at 12:30 p.m. MT. The three-hour workshop will include lab tours and product demonstrations of the latest energy products.

Renewable energy practices are also on the agenda this year. Nuclear energy is also being discussed as an emerging solution going forward.
