Omron, one of Calvary Robotics‘ partners, recently showcased its complete line of mobile robots at Automate 2023. Omron’s Manager for Automation Center Americas, Atef Massoud, highlighted their new MD650 model, set to launch soon, and the Sysmac platform, which he called the “heart of automation.” This platform boasts impressive architecture and performance, with EtherCAT and EtherNet/IP integration, and it can control various real-time devices, including robots, using the same software. Omron’s advanced vision systems with built-in AI allow for tasks such as inspection, pick-and-place, and operation in various industry verticals.
