Enhancing Collaboration Between Field and Office Crews in the Industry

Leica Geosystems Product Expert Shane O’Regan and Procore Technologies Kris Lengieza joined MarketScale’s Tyler Kern to discuss their partnership in creating innovative software solutions for the construction industry.

In short, Leica and Procore have joined forces to enhance collaboration between field and office crews in the industry, streamlining the process and eliminating the drawbacks associated with data being spread across physical drawings, Excel spreadsheets, etc.

The real-time nature of this new solution, Lengieza said, is perhaps its most critical aspect. Mistakes are often a result of updated plans not being effectively communicated, a gap that’s closed with Leica and Procore’s efforts.

The robotic total station solution is simple to use and a one-person operation as opposed to requiring two people, further streamlining efficiency and reducing costs.

“It just means that it’s comfortable, everybody’s relaxed, and we just get stuff done,” O’Regan said.
