Listen: New Clinical Compass Helps Guide Patients

Time for today’s Healthcare minute brought to you by MarketScale.

A new application can help ease clinical pain points for patients and care teams, alike.

Arches Technology has partnered with Kettering Health Network, to develop and implement My Care Compass, a new digital patient navigation tool.

The application helps patients before and after their treatments, by helping prepare them for their procedure through animated videos, text messages and emails, timed to coincide with the specific step they are going through.

Post procedure communication also is timed to provide information that is appropriate and useful for the cancer milestones as they reach them. The software architecture is HIPAA compliant, so patient information is secure, and the communications provide a seamless experience for patients.

This approach of removing stress for the patients, and the clinical staff, as well, leads to a more holistic experience for the patients, which, can also, ultimately aid in their recovery.

Rebecca Interview: When Peer-to-Peer Reviews Stop Being About the Patient
December 2, 2025

Behind the sterile labels of “inpatient” versus “observation” care is a messy reality: clinicians and insurers often enter peer-to-peer reviews without a shared rulebook, turning what should be a clinical dialogue into a box-checking exercise. The speaker’s frustration points to a broader problem in U.S. healthcare utilization management—decisions about coverage can feel pre-decided,…

Navigating Payer Denials: A Physician Advisor’s Perspective #2
December 2, 2025

By any bedside standard, this is acute, unstable care—exactly what…
