Aurora Hires the “Dream Team” of Education

At some point, you have likely tried to “do it yourself” without an expert, whether building furniture from instructions, installing equipment in your house, or fixing your car. But wouldn’t it have been nice to speak to an expert ahead of time so they could guide you through the processes and use of the tools for a stress-free experience? Of course! Well, in the AV space, companies like Aurora Multimedia are already ahead of the game with this.

How exactly is Aurora handling their investment in education?

On today’s episode of Cutting Through, Host Tyler Kern speaks with Paul Harris, CEO and CTO, Chuck Espinoza, Global Education Director, and Marcus Yarborough, Global Education Support Director of Aurora Multimedia, about how they approach educational investment and why it is so critical for their company.

Kern, Harris, Espinoza, and Yarborough also discussed…

  1. Why education investment is critical for Aurora
  1. Who is leading Aurora’s educational efforts, and why
  1. What educational materials people should expect Aurora to provide in both the short- and long-term future

Harris explained the reasoning behind the emphasis Aurora places on education. “Part of the education is to simplify…I can design all the products I want—look, everybody knows I try to change the typology of AV—all well and good, but it doesn’t do you any good if no one knows what you’re talking about. So, you’ve got to get them to understand in a clear and concise manner, and you’ve got to make it easy to consume, and that’s what these two guys are here to do.”

Paul Harris is CEO and CTO of Aurora Multimedia and has prior experience as the CEO of Zytec Inc. Chuck Espinoza is the Global Education Director of Aurora and is a current partner at BNCO Consulting. He is a certified Project Management Professional, Level Two Certified Integrator – Hearing Loop, and Certified Technology Specialist – Design. Marcus Yarborough is Aurora Multimedia’s Global Education Support Director. He has held multiple project management positions and is a Certified Technical Specialist in Design and Installation and a Certified Technology Specialist.
