Listen: Alexa For Business? How Will It impact A/V?

The rapidly growing segment of personal assistants, such as Siri, Google Home and Alexa, also appears poised to make its way into business world.
A recent study predicts that approximately 128 million Alexa units could be installed by 2020. While this could be a huge opportunity for both residential and commercial AV installation companies, they will need to rely heavily on specialized freelancers with advanced smart technology experience in order to ensure a seamless integration with Alexa for Business.
Alexa for Business will be well featured to work in an office setting, and Amazon is also hoping to expand the feature set to address many more office-specific apps, such as managing calendars, controlling lighting and temperatures in conference rooms.
The desirability of these functions will make the AV installer’s role even more critical to success than ever before.
And that’s good for everyone’s business.
