Rigging Points: Will Flavin Takes Us On Tour With Brett Young

As a freelance lighting director and founder of Flavin Lighting Design, LLC, Will Flavin is certainly in the lighting business. However, he might tell you he is really in the business of making memories.

Inspired by a live Disney show when he was younger, Flavin entered the light rigging profession in high school and has never looked back. Now serving as the lighting director for country music singer Brett Young on his nationwide tour, Flavin has brought his talents to audiences across the country.

Having been contracted by several musicians over the last few years, Flavin has compiled a strong portfolio of installations that he hopes have created the memories that inspired him years ago.

To hear more from the man himself, listen to him on the MarketScale Pro AV Podcast

Previously, Flavin served as the lighting crew chief for the band For King & Country on their Glorious Christmas Tour.

He was also the lighting director for Casting Crowns on the band’s Very Next Thing tour.

Flavin is currently on the road as the lighting director for Brett Young’s Life Changes tour.

Previous lighting director duties for Flavin include a stint with Crowder.

He also served in that position on Matt Maher’s Very Next Thing tour.

Flavin was contracted as a lighting director at the Passion Conference 2018. Here, Andy Mineo performs.

Below are some of the light installations Flavin has worked with and assembled for shows nationwide.
