The home improvement supply retailer is using online marketing data to tailor their messaging from in the store, to their customers own homes. Kevin Hoffman Chief Marketing Officer for Home Depot said, “[Our] data allows us to know our customer at a more individual level. Our targeting capability will help us get to them at the right place at the right time.” Home Depot can attribute 20% of their growth, in the past few years, to their efforts in connecting their in-store and online audiences, proving the power that big data can have on shaping the future of the retail industry.
