Listen: Experts Put DC As The Favorite To Get Amazon HQ2
According to a recent study Washington D.C. looks to be the top candidate for Amazon HQ2. Hamilton Place Strategies analyzed the transportation, education, business and connectivity of the top 20 on Amazon’s list for their next headquarters and found that Washington DC stood out as the best option for what online retail giant is looking for. The study says that DC has the “Third highest scored mass transit after New York City and Boston, but multiple international airports and above average international destinations. [The] best educated workforce… above average livability and diversity… and nearly 60 percent fiber optic coverage and nearly 99 percent cellular coverage.” With the exciting game to see who will get Amazon’s new Headquarters, Washington DC should be feeling good about their odds.
