Accelerate Your Business with Intel 4th Gen Xeon Scalable Processors
Exploring the abilities of Intel’s newest processor and accelerators on an episode of Flawless Execution, a podcast by UNICOM Engineering, host Daniel Litwin sat down to talk with Madhu Bramharouthu, the Technical Sales Manager for Xeon® Scalable Processors at Intel. The two discussed the history of Xeon processors and accelerators, and their applications across industries.
Key takeaways from the episode include:
-The 4th Gen Intel Xeon Scalable Processor and accelerators will play a transformative role in enterprise computing.
-Intel made a strategic decision to address different workloads and deliver better performance, power efficiency, and total cost of ownership compared to previous generations.
-The fourth gen Intel Xeon scalable processors come with IP-based accelerators like Intel QAT, Intel DSA, Intel DLB, and Intel IAA, along with instruction set-based acceleration such as Intel AMX, offering significant performance improvements.
“When you look at Intel’s journey, we started this journey with the 1st Gen Scalable Processor about six, seven years ago, where we brought not only Instruction Set-based accelerators, but we also brought IP-based accelerators over the generations,” said Bramharouthu.
“With the 4th Gen Xeon Scalable Processor, you get both IP-based accelerators and Instruction Set-based accelerators.”
