Dell Technologies: Hedera’s Newest Governing Council Member

Dell Technologies provides IT consulting and support services to businesses and organizations of all sizes. In recent years, the company has made significant investments in cloud computing, data analytics, and other cutting-edge technologies.

Dell Technologies and Hedera Hashgraph have a strategic partnership to integrate Hedera’s public ledger technology into Dell’s suite of products and services. The partnership aims to provide customers with secure and transparent solutions for distributed ledger technology and decentralized applications.

How can the partnership between Dell and Hedera be a part of a more significant trend of technology companies exploring the use of decentralized technology and blockchain to solve real-world problems?

On today’s episode of the Gossip About Gossip podcast, host Zenobia Godschalk speaks with Steve Todd, who is the Fellow & Vice President of Data Innovation and Strategy at Dell Technologies, to talk about why Dell is joining the Hedera Global Governing Council. The two discussed:

  1. In the tech industry and market, why is Dell joining the Hedera Governing Council?
  2. What kind of ways are people thinking of edge computing across the Dell customer race?
  3. Over the years, Dell has done some things in the form of decentralization of data. How far along is Dell to reach that goal?

“We have a lot of infrastructure products and our customers are increasingly moving from centralizing them in one location to distributing them across multiple location where there are multi-clouds,” said Steve Todd.

As Dell is exploring distributed technologies, Hedera has the enterprise that Dell liked.

Hedera is a decentralized public network that utilizes the hashgraph consensus algorithm to provide fast and secure transactions.

“We recognized the intersection between distributed ledgers and edge many years ago and we began to work on technologies to solve problems,” said Todd.

With this partnership, Dell and Hedera hope to leverage their combined expertise and resources to offer innovative solutions to industrial customers.
