Why the Latest Apple Event Means Business

Apple products are ubiquitous around the globe, and the business world will pay close attention to the company’s media event on Tuesday, Sept. 10 at 1 p.m. EST.

The company is expected to unveil a trio of new iPhones at its Cupertino, California headquarters. While people may associate the iPhone with emojis and social media apps, Apple products have been driving business for years.

The event may not show an iPhone with a folding screen or one compatible with 5G networks, there are plenty of reasons for business professionals to keep an eye on the event.

CNN predicts a faster processor, improved Face ID and the removal of 3D touch.

Apple has partnered with businesses for different offerings and last month together with Goldman Sachs Inc. unveiled a virtual credit card for iPhone.

Apple has emphasized its security measures in years past, which is important for businesses to be assured of. The company announced new software at the Worldwide Developers Conference this year and new security efforts continue to be a part of Apple’s agenda.

A new Apple Watch is also expected to be revealed, furthering Apple’s position in the wearable sector.
