Airlines To Carry Record 151 Million Passengers During Spring Break

An airline industry trade group forecasts that a strong U.S. economic environment will propel air travel during Spring Break to a 4% increase compared to last year. With a dynamic stock market, employment gains and increasing consumer net worth, cash is available for air travel where fares have remained on the low side for the last two years. Airlines will carry approximately 151 million passengers on these vacation excursions with about 2.5 million traveling each day.
