The Competition Knows and You Should Too

Pool owners or service technicians demand pool cleaning systems with strong cleaning power, impressive water filtering, and the ability to climb a wall. Unfortunately, suction-side and pressure-side pool cleaners often can’t deliver. This results in greater operating and maintenance costs, as well as less clean pools. And since suction-side and pressure-side cleaners use separate pumps to operate, they are simply not energy efficient. In addition, these systems typically employ cumbersome hoses, confusing pump hookups, and costly adapters.

Suction-side pool cleaners get their name from the fact that they attach to the suction side of an outdoor plumbing system. Water is sucked from the pool by a separate filter pump before being diverted to a pool filter for cleaning. Accomplishing this task requires special pipes, valves, and fittings. As dirt and debris are drawn into the pump basket and filter, they negatively impact the cleaning process. For this reason, suction-side cleaners are an especially poor choice for pools that accumulate large or rough debris.

Pressure-side pool cleaners, on the other hand, attach to the pressure, or return, side of outdoor plumbing systems. They may also require special pipes, valves, and fittings, as well as a separate pressure gauge. High-pressure units may add a booster pump to push water back into the pool after it runs through a separate filter. However, as debris containers or filters become blocked or full, the pressure is reduced, making them less and less effective.

The main difference with our Dolphin is that it uses active scrubbing brushes that deep clean algae and bacteria from the pool surface. Smart navigation control ensures the Dolphin covers every part of the pool with ability to climb pool walls. Easy-to-use filters capture fine particles and can be rinsed and reloaded, making them both convenient and economical. And large filter baskets can be quickly emptied after removing debris like leaves, dirt, and algae.

While suction- and pressure-side pool cleaners might cost you less up front, Dolphin’s durability, quality, cleaning performance, and feature-rich cleaning technologies consistently outperform the competition.
