Doing it All Made Easy the Mitch Joel Way

Mitch Joel is a disruptor in the thought leader space. Through his ThinkersOne website, Joel helps businesses connect with the most influential thought leaders in all industries. And Joel’s other site, Six Pixels of Separation (also the title of Joel’s bestselling book), brings insights on brands, consumers, technology, and how connected the world’s become.

With Joel having thumbs in so many pies (books, businesses, podcasts, blogs, articles, speaking engagements), it was natural Greg Crumpton wanted him on Straight Outta Crumpton. But how does a man with only two hands accomplish so much, and where does he find all his passion? Crumpton wondered if the secret, perhaps, was no sleep.

“I sleep like a baby,” Joel said. “I sit on the other side of the fence as a content creator, and if I go back historically, I was originally doing seven pieces of content a week. I was doing a blog post and an article every single day. And then the podcast happened, going back twenty years on both. So, I’ve been doing this for a long, long time. And over the years, I’ve shifted to the point where it’s at minimum two, which would be my six links which I co-curate with two other friends of mine.”

Crumpton and Joel’s discussion includes:

● Joel’s history and critical relationships that shaped his journey
● The cultural & business shifts and changes due to the pandemic
● The state of commercial real estate post-pandemic
● Long-term changes in company culture in the hybrid working environment

“There are many companies that are remote only and do a lot of things to make people feel engaged and connected,” Joel said. “So, it’s worked, but has it worked at scale is the question, and this speaks to my general optimization of what work looks like. We used to say, and still say, we need to surprise and delight our customers. I really do think; last year, companies started to say, how do we surprise and delight our team members?”

Mitch Joel is the co-founder of ThinkersOne, a platform that empowers companies with personalized and bite-sized thought leadership from the best thinkers in the world. Before ThinkersOne, Joel spent nearly three decades in the technology and media industry as an executive and entrepreneur. Each year, Joel gives frequent keynote
presentations to small, medium, and large organizations in both the B2B and B2C space worldwide.
