How to Achieve Leading School Safety when It Matters More than Ever

There’s never been a more critical time in school safety.

In addition to threats that have become ever-present, such as active shooters and extreme weather, the COVID-19 pandemic has heightened safety expectations among students, teachers, parents and other educators. When schools return to in-person instruction this fall, they’ll need to do so in a way that provides complete peace of mind for all of these parties.

Solutions like those from Raptor Technologies can help campuses achieve this key goal.
At Midlothian ISD, administration realized that campuses had a clear need for a more robust and integrated security solution – and it turned to Raptor, a “leading provider of school safety software and school sign-in systems for visitor management.”

“If we don’t have a situation where everybody feels safe and secure in order to learn, then all of the other instructional components that we’re worrying about don’t matter,” said Amanda Rodgers, Principal of Dieterich Middle School.

To provide that safety and security, Midlothian ISD implemented K-12 visitor and emergency management solutions from Raptor that leverages current student information data to form a holistic approach to safety and security.
