Watch: Philadelphia moves one step closer to drug injection sites

Amid growing overdose deaths, Philadelphia is allowing private companies to open safe injection sites for drug users. The facilities offer sterile needles, emergency overdose medication, and referrals to social services. Experts released a review that showed just one such site would prevent up to 76 overdose deaths annually. Seattle and numerous cities across Canada are following suit, hoping to curb the epidemic. We have to use every proven tool we can to save their lives until they recover from the grip of addiction.
