Metro Sets New Standards in the Food Service Industry with Innovative Kitchen Solutions

At the International Restaurant & Food Service Show of New York, an event renowned for highlighting the latest trends and innovations in the food service industry, Metro unveiled two of its newest products designed to set new standards in kitchen efficiency and food quality: the Mightylite and PrepMate. This showcase provided an ideal platform for introducing these breakthroughs to industry professionals eager for solutions that address both operational efficiency and sustainability.

Farrad Condry, National Account Specialist at Metro, presented the Mightylite, a robust and innovative container made from Expanded Polypropylene (EPP), featuring 30% more material for unparalleled durability. Its design not only supports the weight of an adult, facilitating access to higher storage spaces but also maintains the temperature of hot and rolled products for over five hours, ensuring meals remain warm and flavorful. The presentation at the show emphasized Mightylite’s role in enhancing food service operations through improved storage and handling.

Glen Lawless, National Account Sales Manager at Metro, introduced PrepMate, a versatile tool designed to revolutionize kitchen prep areas. By tackling common challenges such as limited space and inefficient work surfaces, the PrepMate offers a compact, overhead work surface that optimizes chopping and sliding tasks while promoting a tidy and efficient workspace. Demonstrated at the New York show, the PrepMate’s ability to enable on-demand preparation anywhere in the kitchen was highlighted as a key factor in improving kitchen workflow and staff comfort in the food service industry.
