How can innovative partnerships in telecommunications reshape the landscape of urban connectivity, particularly in densely populated areas?
“The specification we needed for our town was kind of dense, densely populated. Clearfield provided [us] a couple of different solutions and services. They allowed us to actually design it to what we wanted,” they said.

At Silk, we provide broadband, high speed internet, tele phone and video to our customers. One of the reasons Selco decided to build a fiber project was we need to provide our customer with a robust system. The specification we needed for our our town was kind of dense, densely populated. Blairfield provided Sulco a couple different solutions and services. They allowed us to actually design it to what we wanted. They also offered the solution with a pre terminated ops that we used in the MDUs. We had five buildings at two hundred fifty residents. That was a great solution there because it gave us the opportunity not to spend a lot of time splicing. They gave us the proper footages, and it worked well with the micro duct. So all in all, was a win win. Clearfield is really the premier partner for Sterling in our application and then our needs for we were looking to do for system deployment. Was Sterling really being an electrical utility provider for over a hundred years coming into, you know, fiber distribution and full fiber to home deployment. Really been working with Clearfield and get the hell on better understanding of how to do fiber to home. And then off trying to be able to offer better quality service at a discounted rate from, you know, other maybe internet service providers that are really heavy monopoly for this area. Couple of things I'm really struck by in this project. First, the amount of cooperation between the two towns. She was very and sterling worked very closely together, and they're almost as if they're one team working together to, you know, get fiber to their customer. In addition, there was tremendous cooperation between the two towns in between Boylston and West Boylston to allow shrewsbury to pass their cable through their towns to get to Sterling. The other is how both of these companies use the same products in very different applications and use different products for the same application. So to me, it kinda highlighted the modularity, the building block kind of concept, and the labor concept that we use for our products to make it real simple to do a lot of different applications and different deployments with the same set of products. The differences we saw after the fact of working with Clearfield was the ease of their cabinets and the customs were very, very happy with the modern bandwidth and the robust and reliability that we gave them. Clearfield really separated themselves from the rest of the pack as far as being able to, you know, supply the products that we need really based on lead time and quality of products and, you know, having direct line of communication to their engineering department, their sales department really had a good cooperative effort working with Clearfield. Clearfield is really the premier partner for Sterling in our application and then our needs for what were looking to do for system deployment. The solutions that Clearfield gave Soko, I would definitely recommend that to anybody else that's planning on doing build, a municipal build, a private build. Disolutions were right on top, and they worked well for CELCO.
