Safety, security, ethics and morals. For many companies, these issues sit in a gray area. Should the users and consumers bear the responsibility of these issues within IT? Or, rather, should the responsibility fall on the shoulders of the developers and distributors? In this episode, Kevin Williams, CEO of WISE Power, answers this question as well as introduces the concept of lifestyle management and what he believes is required for the future success of smart devices.

“As consumers we don’t want to have 15 different icons on our phone or another 15 different passwords to manage in our lives,” Williams said. “If you’ve got all these different smart devices – its great to having a Ring Doorbell, a Nest thermostat, a Samsung refrigerator, but its really helpful for consumers if you can make things simple. And there are other behind the scenes technologies that are available to help with that integration.”
