Employee Spotlight: Billie Haggard
We’re excited to introduce Billie Haggard, the Executive Vice President of Operations. He has had a remarkable journey from 14 years in the nuclear navy, operating nuclear power plants on submarines, to making a surprising career transition into the data center industry. Initially hesitant due to his lack of IT knowledge, Billie’s passion for a particular company convinced him to take a chance, and he quickly secured a job in operations.
What he loves about operations is the people-oriented aspect, where half of the job revolves around HR responsibilities. Billie finds joy in developing and mentoring individuals, witnessing their growth from technicians to CEOs and everything in between.
Outside of work, Billie’s love for travel fuels his personal growth, exposing him to new experiences, cuisines, and cultures. He even had a remarkable opportunity to speak at the White House during Obama’s administration, sharing insights on reducing electrical costs in data centers. Presently, Billie is most excited about the integration of ODATA and Aligned, a unique opportunity to help a company leapfrog and amplify its business. Billie’s journey exemplifies the power of seizing opportunities and finding fulfillment through personal and professional growth, ultimately contributing to Aligned’s success in the data center industry.
