Bacardi Rum turned to Icom for assistance in its Casa Bacardi factory in San Juan, Puerto Rico, where it produces 85% of its products.

Whether it’s coordinating production processes, addressing maintenance needs, or responding to any emergencies, these Icom radios help the Bacardi Factory team stay connected and maintain effective communication channels. With their clear audio quality, long battery life, and durable design, the Icom radios contribute to the overall efficiency and productivity of the Bacardi Factory, making it an essential tool for their daily operations.

Icom Sales Manager Jon Paul Beauchamp recently toured the Bacardi factory in San Juan and was blown away by what he saw.

“Walking through the factory is an amazing trip through history,” Beauchamp said. “Seeing the beautiful old architecture combined with the modern bottling equipment and all of the beautiful stainless-steel fixtures. It is truly awesome to see the Icom radios being used by the team around the factory. It is impressive to know that we are part of such a rich global history.”

Workers at the factory shared their excitement about the communication upgrade from Icom, with one worker noting his appreciation because things can get crazy on the factory floor, and it is critical to have effective communication devices so everyone knows where everyone is.
