Showcase Cinemas, known for providing a premium movie-going experience, sought to differentiate themselves from other exhibitors by offering luxurious recliner seating, cutting-edge laser projection, and Dolby Atmos sound. To enhance this experience further, Showcase Cinemas embarked on a project to revamp their outdated signage system. Through a collaboration with Deal Media and Phillips, they successfully implemented a state-of-the-art digital signage solution that transformed their theaters and captivated audiences.

When Showcase Cinemas expressed the need for a digital signage provider, Deal Media stepped in as the ideal partner. Touring all the theaters, analyzing requirements, and understanding the scope of the project, Deal Media devised a comprehensive plan. With the assistance of Phillips, the necessary supplies, including monitors, were procured, ensuring a smooth and efficient process.

The project involved a full refresh of digital menu boards and box office screens across more than 20 locations. Showcase Cinemas transitioned to the Carbon platform, offered by Deal Media, which facilitated efficient management of thousands of digital menu boards and signage implementations. The flexibility of Carbon allowed clients to easily update and manage their own content in real-time. Cutting-edge technology enabled screen synchronization for captivating lobby takeovers during seasonal promotions and special events.

Teaming up with Phillips, Showcase Cinemas replaced over 500 screens, ranging from 55 to 75 inches, with the vibrant D-Line at 700 Nits screens. The exceptional brightness ensured that the screens stood out, even in ambient lighting conditions. The new signage system provided the opportunity for engaging takeovers, showcasing the latest combo offers, resulting in a significant increase in combo sales.

The feedback from Showcase Cinemas, including executives and theater managers, has been overwhelmingly positive. The project’s success and dynamic content have revitalized the cinemas, breathing new life into the movie-watching experience. The professionalism and seamless transition offered by Deal Media and Phillips have made it a stress-free and pleasurable collaboration.

For any cinema seeking to replace their current menu board system and box office screens, the partnership between Deal Media and Phillips comes highly recommended. Their level of expertise and professionalism have elevated Showcase Cinemas’ signage to new heights, enhancing the overall cinematic experience.
