Top Retailers Gathered at Tango’s “Location Is Everything” Summit

Tango hosted a virtual “Location Is Everything “summit on July 20 and 21 on the way the retail and restaurant industries transformed during the pandemic. Joining Host Tyler Kern on MarketScale TV to discuss the event is Bart Waldeck, Tango’s CMO and SVP of Product Development. Tango is a leader in store lifecycle management (SLM) and integrated workplace management system (IWMS) software.

The duo also dug into what decision-makers should be thinking about as they develop real estate strategies for the immediate and long-term and how to see continued success in a post-pandemic world.

“A lot has been happening in retail and the world in the last year-and-a-half,” Waldeck said. “Retail has been hit very hard, and the game is changing within retail. There’s a brick-and-mortar impact to that, as more and more customers move to online and omnichannel types of transactions. Retailers need to adjust their physical footprint, their stores to take advantage of these changing trends,”

In April of 2020, Tango launched Location is Everything, an initiative to help retailers and restaurant concepts strategize for the future of retail and meet the burgeoning omnichannel consumer’s evolving needs in a post-pandemic world. This interactive, virtual summit built upon this knowledge base while exploring new insights into all aspects of the real estate and facilities lifecycle, including market research, real estate, design and construction, lease administration and accounting, and facilities maintenance.

The summit included presentations from Bed Bath & Beyond, Caleres, and Loblaw, along with experts from the industry’s leading consulting firms, including EY, Jackson Cross Partners, Kearney, McMillan Doolittle, PwC, and RSM.

Topics included:
