Watch: Amazon to Start Delivering Products Directly to Cars

Amazon Key-In Car was revealed Tuesday and is available immediately in 37 cities across the country. It will also be free for Amazon Prime members. With Amazon Key-In Car, customers who have a Volvo or General Motors vehicle will be able to use the service via the Amazon Key App.

Customers will need to add their car to the app and include a description of their vehicle. In order to use the service, customers should choose “in-car” delivery at checkout and they will get notifications from the app when the package has been delivered.

The service is an extension of Amazon Key, which the company debuted in November for delivery people to enter customer homes without keys.
