Why Amazon Went to India to Build It’s Biggest Office Ever

Amazon this week opened its largest global office, and it is far from its Seattle, Washington headquarters.

The new 9.5 acre campus is situated in the business district of Hyderabad, India. The retail giant’s 1.8 million-square-foot space will host up to 15,000 employees. This number is approximately one-quarter of the organization’s total full-time India-based workforce.

Rivals Google and Microsoft also currently have offices in the Indian city.
